Spartan Staffing Completes Merger with Personnel Management, Inc. (PMI)
Local Branches Now Carry Spartan Staffing Name
Feb 2, 2009 -- Spartan Staffing announced today that it has completed its merger with Personnel Management, Inc. (PMI), creating a network of 60 branches in 11 states to provide customers with temporary light industrial and clerical staffing.
All PMI branches in Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas and the Carolinas now carry the Spartan Staffing name and logo, said Spartan President John Demarest.
"The most noticeable change at local PMI branches will be the name," Demarest said. "PMI customers will still find the staff that they've trusted, and Spartan is committed to ensuring that former PMI customers receive the industry's top service."
Demarest said the merger between PMI and Tampa, Florida-based Spartan was a good fit for business and geographic reasons. Spartan is an established brand that had built a strong presence in the Southeast and served a market similar to PMI's. Combining the two, he said, improves efficiency while allowing the best practices from each brand to be used to help customers be more productive.
Placing all branches under the Spartan name means the company can build upon Spartan's excellent reputation and create opportunities for customers in multiple markets, Demarest said.
